청주 양씨의 중시조인 양기(楊起)는 원나라 금자광록대부(金紫光祿大夫) 중서성(中書省) 정승으로 있을 때, 고려 공민왕비인 노국공주를 배종한 후 충정왕 3년 우리나라에 정착했다. 그 뒤 다시 원나라에 들어가 많은 외교적 공헌을 하여 삼한창국공신(三韓昌國公臣) 상당백(上黨伯)에 봉해져 관향을 청주로 삼았다.
청주양씨는 고려말 개성에서 조선초에는 세거하다가, 양혜빈(楊惠嬪)의 수난 뒤에 전서공파(典書公派)의 후손들이 증평으로 낙향하여 집성촌을 이루고 있다. 현재 증천동과 내성동 사이에 매봉산 기슭에는 실정된 5세까지는 지단을 모시고 있고, 6세부터 13세까지는 사당에 모시어 시제를 지내고 있다. 청주양씨 묘역에는 양윤원, 양언개, 양렴 등의 묘소가 있다.
양윤원은 성종 6년에 무과에 급제하여 병조참지가 되었으며, 세조 13년(1467)에 이시애의 난에 출정하여 공훈을 세워 적개훈(敵愾勳)에 녹선되고, 회령도호부사가 되었는데 여진족들이 그를 대인으로 공경하였다고한다. 왕자의 장인인 숭정대부의정부좌찬성(崇政大夫議政府左贊成)에 추증되었다. 묘 주변에는 묘비석과 무인석 1조가 남아있으며, 최근에 묘비석을 다시 세웠다.
양언개는 어모장군행충무위부사직(禦侮將軍行忠武衛副司直)을 지낸 인물이다. 묘 주변에는 묘비석과 문인석 1조가 남아있으며, 최근에 묘비석을 다시 세웠다.
양렴 묘소는 명종때의 사람으로 선무랑행상의원주부(宣務郞行尙衣院主簿)이고, 증통정대부승정원좌승지겸경연참찬관(贈通政大夫承政院左承旨兼經筵參贊官)을 지냈다. 청주양씨 묘역은 내성동 흑표아파트 뒤편에 계곡부에 증천사를 중심으로 주변의 능선에 걸쳐 분포하고 있다.

Located on the ridge near Jeungcheonsa Temple, in the valley behind the Heukpyo Apartment Building in Naeseong-dong, Jeungpyeong, the Cemetery of the Cheongju Yang Clan contains the tombs of Yang Yun-won, Yang Eon-gae, and Yang Ryeom among others.
Yang Yun-won served in the Naegeumwi (Forbidden Royal Guard Division), which was sent to suppress the Yi Si-ae Rebellion in 1467, and he was awarded the title of Jeokgaehun in recognition of his meritorious deeds. He passed the military part of the state examination in 1475, the sixth year of the reign of King Seongjong of Joseon, and was promoted to the position of Byeongjo chamji (Third Minister of the Military of Joseon’s army. It is said that while he was serving as the Hoeryeong Regional Military Commander, the Jurcheon people respected him as a great man. He was posthumously granted the title of a prince’s father-in-law (Sungjeongdaebu jwachanseong).
His tomb includes a tombstone and a pair of stone statues of military officials, as well as a newly erected tombstone.
Yang Eon-gae served as a grade-3 military official in the Northern Division (Eomojanggunhaeng chungmuwi busajik). His tomb also includes a tombstone and a pair of stone statues of military officials, as well as a newly erected tombstone.
Yang Ryeom served as a grade-6B military official (Seonmuranghaeng sanguiwon jubu), and as a government official with the third court rank of the Royal Secretariat, and also participated in royal lectures (jeungtongjeongdaebu seungjeongwon jwaseungji gyeom gyeongyeon chamchangwan).
