문화재 설명정보
증평지역은 두타산이 북동에서 남서로 산맥을 이루고, 보강천이 증평 중심부를 가로지르며 흘러 질벌뜰, 도안뜰 등 평야지대가 옛부터 형성되었다. 이러한 평야지대에서 농사가 지어지면서 노동요로써 장뜰두레놀이가 발생하였으며, 증평일원에서 불려지게 되었다. 장뜰두레놀이는 고리질소리․모찌기소리․모내기소리․모내기소리․초듭매기소리․이듭매기소리․보리방아찧기소리․세듭매기소리의 7종으로 구성되어 있다. 노래형식은 선소리꾼의 메기는 소리와 여러사람이 받는 소리로 되어 있고 모두가 3분박의 리듬을 가지고 있다. 선율은 우리나라 동부권, 즉 강원도와 경상도의 음악들과 같은 문화권에 속해 있으나 이들과 다른 음악적 어법을 지니고 있으며, 충북의 음악적 특징에 경상도의 음악적 요소가 가미되어 증평지역 만의 독창적인 요소를 지니고 있다. Located in the Jeungpeyong area, Dutasan Mountain is a part of the main mountain range stretching in a northeast-southwest direction, while the Bogangcheon Stream flows through the center of Jeungpeyong, forming the Jilbeoltteul and Doantteul plains.
When people began to farm in these plains, Jangtteul Durenori (Farmers' Songs of Jangtteul Field in Jeungpyeong) emerged as an agricultural work song and was performed by farmers throughout the Jeungpyeong area.
Jangtteul Durenori consists of seven verses: 1. Bringing water to the fields; 2. Picking rice seedlings; 3. Transplanting rice seedlings; 4. First weeding; 5. Second weeding; 6. Milling; and 7. Third weeding.
The song is led by the lead singer, while several others respond in a 1/3 time signature and rhythm. The melody belongs to the same cultural sphere as the music of the eastern part of Korea, including Gangwon and Gyeongsang Provinces, although it has a different musical grammar. As it is combined with the musical characteristics of Chungcheongbuk-do and musical elements from Gyeongsang-do, Jangtteul Durenori is a unique work song of the Jeungpeyong region.
