학촌 박이룡 장군(1533～1595)은 충주인으로, 1533년에 출생하여 선조 10년(1577) 승문원정자로 처음 벼슬에 올라 여러 관직을 역임 하였으며, 해서(현재 황해도) 순찰사로 있을 때인 1592년 임진왜란이 일어나자 고향으로 내려와 스스로 황의장이 되어 1500여명의 의병을 모아 이곳 괘방령을 근거지로 삼아 김천, 지례, 개령, 선산 등지에서 200여 회에 걸쳐 수많은 왜적을 무찔러 큰 공을 세웠다
그 공적으로 능성현령(전라도 화순)을 제수 받았고 1595년 군자감정(軍資監正)에 봉해졌으나, 왜란때의 부상이 재발하여 그해 4월 63세를 일기로 별세 하였는데 순조 12년(1812) 이조참의로 증직 되었다. 현재의 사당은 1998년 4월 완공한 건물로 정면 3칸, 측면 2칸의 맞배기와집이다.

General. Bak Iryong, as a human being from Chungju who lived from 1533 to 1595, was born in 1533 and made a successive service in a various official post after starting his official career as "Seungmuwonjeongja' under the 10th year of King Seonjo's reign of Joseon Dynasty in 1577. Especially, he was willing to retire into his hometown and became a chief of a loyal soldier of himself at the outbreak of Imjinwaeran"[meaning Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592] when he was a provincial patrol governor of "Haeju"(Hwanghaedo of today) in 1592. After that, he established a base at "Gwaebangryeong" by recruitting 1500 loyal soliders, therefore, made a distinguished military service through the 200 times of defeating a great number of Japanese invaders around Gimcheon, Jirye, Gaeryeong, Seonsan, etc.
As a result of a distinguished military service, he was appointed as "Neungseonhyeonryeong"(Hwasun Jeonra-do of today) and nominated as "Gunjagamjeong" in 1595, however, he passed away at the age of 63 in April, the same year because he suffered from a return of the wounded part during Imjinwaeran"[meaning Japanese invasion of Korea in 1592]. Thus, as for him, Yijochameui was given as a method of "Jeungjik" under the 12th of King Sunjo's reigh of Joseon Dynasty in 1812. The present shrine, as a tile-roofed house called "Majbaegwajib" , was completed in April, 1998 and includes the frontal four pillars and the side three pillars.
