계술재는 순흥안씨 옥담(玉潭) 안국민(安國民)의 손자로 작산현감(作山縣監)을 지내면서 선정을 베푼 뒤 향리인 매곡면 옥전리로 낙향하여 후학양성에 힘쓴 통덕랑(通德郞) 안치장【(安治長), 자(字)는 수백(壽佰), 호(號)는 계술(繼述), (1621~1674)】의 덕행을 기리기 위하여 후손들이 세운 재실이다. 정확한 건립연대는 알수 없으나, 원래 공의 묘 앞에 있던 것을 1919년 7월 현재의 위치로 자리를 옮겨 세웠다고, 1934년 공(公)의 8대손 안상철(安商哲)이 지은 계술재기(繼述齋記)에 기록되어 있다. 건물은 정면 4칸, 측면 2칸의 목조기와 팔작집이다.
"Gyesuljae", as a "Jaesil", was erected by the descendants in order to pay a tribute of praise to the virtuous conduct belongs to An Chijang Esq. the so-called "Tongdeokrang"(1621-1674), whose familiar name and pseudonym ; Subaek, Gyesul, respectively as a grandson of An Gukmin Esq. the so-called "Okdam", the Ans of Sunhong, who devoted to cultivate a junior scholar when he retired into Okjeon-ri Maegok-myeon, his hometown after managing a good[wise] government as a hyeongam of Jaksan. The "Gyesuljaegi" written by An Sangcheol Esq. as the 8th offspring of Lord. An Chijang in 1934 record that the exact era of building this "Jaesil" is not known and this Jaesil was basically located in front of the tomb of Lord. An Chijang Esq., but, moved into the present site in July 1919. This building, which includes the frontal five pillars and the side three pillars is a wooded tile-roofed house, called "Mokjogiwapaljakjib".
