음성군 금왕읍 유촌2리 가래들 마을에 여말선초의 문신인 한양인 충정공조인옥(?∼1396년)의 위패를 봉안하고 향사하기 위해 세운 사우이다.
조인옥은 본관이 한양, 자가 군계로서 판서 조돈의 아들이다. 공민왕 22년(1373년)에 음보로 산원이 되고 우왕 13년(1387년)에는 판전의사사를 거쳐 이듬해 이성계의 휘하에서 종군하였다가 위화도에서 회군하여 구세력 숙청에 가담하였다.
정도전등과 이성계를 추대하여 조선 개국에 공을 세우고 중추원부사가 되고 개국공신 1등에 올랐다. 태조 4년(1395년)에 한성군에 봉해지고 이듬해 정조겸성절사로 명나라를 다녀왔다.
후에 태조 묘정에 배정되고 시호는 충정이라 했다.
현재의 사우는 최근에 다시 세운 것으로 정면 3간 측면 1간반 겹처마 팔작지붕의 목조기와집으로 앞의 1간은 퇴간이다. 정면에 ""부조묘""라는 현판을 달았으며, 둘레에는 돌담장을 쌓고 앞에는 솟을삼문을 세웠다.

영어 내용

Located in the village of Garaedeul in Yuchon 2-ri, Geumwang-eup, Eumseong-gun, Chungjeongsa Shrine enshrines the spirit tablet of Jo In-ok (?-1396, family clan: Hanyang; posthumous title: Chungjeonggong), who was a high-ranking civil official between the end of the Goryeo dynasty and the early Joseon period.
The current shrine, which has been rebuilt recently, is a wooden structure with a hip-and-gable, tiled roof with double-layered eaves, and measures three kan (a unit of measurement referring to the distance between two columns) at the front and one kan at the sides.
There is a toegan at the front, as well as an elevated three-partitioned gate. The signboard “Bujomyo,” meaning “a shrine in perpetuity” hangs from the front of the shrine, which is surrounded by a stone wall.
