문화재 설명정보
연최적 충효정려는 지역 내 세거하던 곡산연씨문중인물인 연최적의 충효정려로, 이에 대한 기록이 잘 남아 있다. 정려문은 정면 3칸, 측면 2칸으로 된 겹처마 팔작지붕의 목조기와 형식을 띄고 있다. 공포는 이익공 형식으로 건물 정면의 창방 위에 “연공충효양전문(延公忠孝兩全門)”이라는 현판이 걸려있다. 건물 안에는 정려 편액이 걸려 있다. 건물 내부에는 1748년에 세운 효자비가 있다.
This Commemorative Pavilion was erected to honor Yeon Choi-jeok for his great loyalty and filial devotion. Yeon Choi-Jeok was a member of the Goksan Yeon clan, which settled in the Cheongju region.
The current pavilion is a wooden building that has a hip-and-gable, tiled roof with double-layered eaves, and double-wing bracket style, and measures three kan (a unit of measurement referring to the distance between two columns) at the front and two kan at the sides.
A wooden plaque inscribed with the words “Yeongongchunghyoyangjeonmun” (the front gate of the commemorative pavilion of Yeon Choi-jeok) is hung from the lintel at the front, while the plaque of the commemorative pavilion is hung inside the pavilion, which also houses a commemorative stele erected in 1748.
