송정 2리 통미마을 김정수씨 집안에 있는 1기의 고인돌은 두께가 고른 타원형꼴로 276×157×34㎝이며, 놓여진 긴 길이 방향은 산줄기 흐름과 같은 남-북방향이다. 암질은 거정 화강암으로 동·북쪽 면 둘레에서 떼임질 자국이 관찰된다. 덮개돌이 지표에서 조금 떠 있는 남쪽부분에서 고임돌이 찾아져 남방식 고인돌로 여겨지며, 강자갈돌이 덮개돌 밑 부분 둘레에서 확인되고 있는 것으로 보아 무덤방은 강자갈돌을 이용하여 만들었을 것으로 추정된다. (증평군 향토유적대장)
The Songjeong-ri Dolmen is located in the grounds of the house of Kim Jeong-su in the village of Tongmi in Songjeong 2-ri, Jeungpyeong. It is oval in form, measures 276 × 157 × 34㎝, and lies in the north-south direction, in line with the local mountain range.
The dolmen is made of pegmatite and bears traces of cuts around its eastern and northern surfaces. As its capstone and small prop stone have been discovered, it is considered a southern type of dolmen. Judging from the fact that pebble stones were discovered around the bottom of the capstone, it is presumed that the tomb chamber was also made of pebble stones.
