문화재 설명정보
조선 중종조 시대의 삼괴당 남지언 선생이 을사사화시 은거하며, 즐기던 곳으로 이곳에 그의 유허비가 있어 대각(臺閣)을 건립하여 고반대라 하고 깊이 생각한다는 뜻으로 영사각(永思閣)이라 했다. 앞에는 천연 우물이 있어 한발에도 마르지 않고 장마에도 넘치지 않아 봉황정(鳳凰井)이라 부르고 있다. 정면 2칸, 측면 2칸의 둥근기둥 목조기와 팔작집으로 16.5㎡이다.
Gobandae Pavilion, along with the Stele to Nam Ji-eon, is located in the area to which Nam Ji-eon (pen-name: Samgoedang) retired to enjoy the local scenery after the Literati Purge of 1545 during the reign of King Jungjong of Joseon. It is also called “Yeongsagak” meaning “a place for deep thinking.” Situated in front of the pavilion is a natural well that is said never to dry up even in severe heat, nor to overflow even during the season of heavy rainfall, which is why it is called “Bonghwangjeong.” Gobandae Pavilion is a wooden building with a hip-and-gable roof that measures two kan (a unit of measurement referring to the distance between two columns) at the front and two kan at the sides.
